We Love Truck Pics: We Love Toy Truck Pics Too! Structo by Ertl Awesome Toy Truck From The Wayback Machine
Amazing! This awesome truck is from about 1964. It's no wonder we grow up loving trucks when we get to play with cool toys like this as kids!!! The bright yellow cab is reminiscent of some early Fords I recall. And that bright red dumping box makes you want it bad. Hey, you never realize how useful a dump truck is until you own one for a few minutes!

If you're interested in a real-live Ford dump truck of your own... it looks like you might need about $70,000 to start... and I'm not sure that gets you anything more than the chassis! Check out this Ford website for more information.

However, as it turns out, you can get a modern toy version for a lot, lot less!

It's a mouthful, isn't it! I can't get enough of these F450 Super Duty pickup trucks. This one takes it one step further with the King Ranch Lariat packages. That is a nice looking truck, and ready to pull whatever you want just about anywhere you want to go. In this case, it was pulling an offshore racing superboat.

The specifications as observed:
Manufacturer: Ford Motor Company
Model: F450 Pickup Truck, Super Duty
Engine: Power Stroke Diesel
Trim Packages: King Ranch, Lariat
Drivetrain: Four Wheel Drive, Dually Rear Axle
Body Style: Crew Cab, Long Bed
Customizations: Running Boards, Tow Mirrors, Electronic Keypad Entry

According to Wikipedia:
"The Ford Super Duty is a line of commercial pickup trucks (over 8,500 lb (3,900 kg) GVWR) introduced in 1998 for the 1999 model year. The F-250 to F-550 Super Duties are assembled at the Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville, Kentucky. The F-650 and F-750 Super Duties are assembled at the Blue Diamond Truck plant in Mexico.

The Super Duty trucks are larger, heavier built commercial/industrial series pickup trucks with heavier-duty body-on-frame steel ladder frames, axles, springs, brakes, transmissions, more powerful engines, and all other heavier/bigger components (with much higher payload and towing capacities) than the older traditional equivalent F-250, F-250HD (Heavy Duty), and F-350 Ford truck lines. The two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive model frames are the same in the F-250 and F-350 series, making conversion from a two-wheel drive model to a four-wheel drive model less difficult than in other truck models. This is because the '99 model year of the F-series has all the bolt holes in the frame for both two-wheel and four-wheel drive precut by the manufacturer."

We Love Truck Pics: Chevy C6500 Crew Cab Dually Hauling Monster

Chevrolet C6500 monster hauling machine! As if the crew cab, the giant dually rear end and custom tanks weren't styling enough, there is an awesome stars and stripes flag mural on this truck that is just plain over the top. It seems to be a somewhat older model, but it sure looks good. I don't think this qualifies in the category of Chevrolet pickup trucks, it's way more than a pickup truck.

The more I look at this sweet puller, the more I want to call it a semi truck. I mean, it's not quite a Freightliner of course, but really...

As mentioned in a previous post, the Warpaint Offshore Racing Team can't seem to decide if they like Ford pickup trucks or GMC pickup trucks more. But then, maybe they realize they are both just as good. Of course, people who love Ford pickup trucks may argue that point, as might people who are fond of GMC pickup trucks.

Personally, I like just about ALL pickup trucks. You can't beat a good pickup truck for getting the job done. I can't imagine where we'd be in this country without our pickup trucks.

Sweet custom front grill on the Ford F450 Super Duty pickup truck! I love the matching topper too. Okay, the specs as we can observe them: Ford, F-450, Super Duty, Diesel, Power Stroke V8, 4X4, Crew Cab, Dually, Lariat, Topper, Running Board Steps. I defy you to not like this truck! Hahaha

But seriously, if you really need some long haul towing done, this is one fine rig for the job. You can see part of the Amsoil Offshore Racing boat at the far right of this shot. Now THAT is a towing job!
